Three people in Hatfield are dead after a murder-suicide early Monday, according to the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office.
Police responded to a residence on the 100 block of Diamond Street around 11:30 p.m. Sunday for a reported shooting, and once inside found a 48-year-old woman and her 28-year-old son dead of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Montgomery County First Assistant District Attorney Kevin Steele, who did not release their identities as of Monday afternoon pending notification of family members and the completion of autopsies by the county coroner’s office.
A 48-year-old man, identified as Paul Marshall, was found inside the home dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound and with a semi-automatic rifle in his possession, Steele said.
A 27-year-old woman and 4-year-old child were also in the home during the domestic incident, but neither was harmed, according to Steele.
The identities of the individuals are being withheld pending notification of family members.
Autopsy results are pending.Tweet
